Lil Wayne-6 Foot 7 Foot (Feat. Corey Gunz)

The Hype Williams directed video for Lil Wayne's most recent single "6 Foot 7 Foot" has hit the internet today in advice of its official MTV premier tonight at 7:54pm EST. The Bangladesh-produced track is slated as the first single off Tha Carter IV, but with no timetable and Wayne's notoriously short attention span, the release date of The Carter IV is anyones guess. Until then, we have this Inception-themed video that includes Wayne chasing his own brain and about seven copies of Corey Gunz.

Check out the video here at hip hop DX.

Tyler, the Creator-Yonkers

On the opposite end of the teen sensation spectrum from the Beibs, nineteen year old rapper Tyler, the Creator leads the young, brash rap crew Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All (OFWGKTA). The crew are often labeled as horrorcore (though they vehemently deny this) and definitely owe a debt to the bizarre rap of early Eminem and fringe horrorcore rapper Brotha Lynch Hung. Their profanity-laced, shock-inducing rants are equally captivating and difficult to listen to. Beneath the angst and violence there is skill as Tyler has a good ear crafting woozy, minimal beats and both he and collaborator Hodgy Beats are skilled MCs who effortlessly mix humor and cleverness within their unpredictability. All their albums can be downloaded for free on the OFWGKTA webpage, but regardless of what you thing of the collective, Tyler and Hodgy have created a huge internet buzz for their Wednesday performance on Jimmy Kimmel.

Tyler has also caused an online stir with his new music video for the first single "Yonkers" off his upcoming second album Goblin. "Yonkers" is the most cohesive and fully-formed Tyler, the Creator song and as such is easily his best work to date.

Mac Miller-Knock Knock

This isn't a new song by any means, but I just came across this catchy tune by Mac Miller. He's currently traveling up the west coast on tour before he heads through the midwest and ends his current tour in Philadelphia. Miller is an 19 year old recent high school graduate from Pittsburgh who has been releasing mixtapes for the last few years. His K.I.D.S. mixtape last year garnered some buzz and his YouTube page has over 15 million views, but at this point Mac Miller is mostly banking on potential. The future does look bright as the early exposure at such a young age and sharing a label with Wiz Khalifa both bode well. For now we have a few excellently infectious early singles highlighted by "Knock Knock" that you can check out below.

Heems (of Das Rascist)-Teenage Dream

Rapper Heems from the group Das Rascist has laid down a few verses over a slowed-down, manly-sounding Katy Perry loop from "Teenage Dream." After Das Rascist came out of nowhere with the 2008 novelty hit "Combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell" they established themselves with two 2010 mixtapes Shut Up, Dude and Sit Down, Man both available for free download here. Das Rascist are a hard group to pin down due to their tongue and cheek style, exemplified by the song"hahahaha jk?" off Sit Down, Man that includes the chorus "were not joking, just joking, we are joking, just joking, were not joking." Heems' take on "Teenage Dream" is no exception. Whether you like their rapping style or not, Das Rascist have the Pitchfork Media stamp of approval so they will inevitably be mainstays around the blogsphere well into the foreseeable future.

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis-"My Oh My" video

Here's Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' video for their new Dave Niehaus inspired song "My Oh My." Though a lot of Macklemore's songs have a decidedly Seattle bent, Macklemore and Lewis make not only the best hip-hop but the best music coming out of Seattle. Lewis is a wizard on the production side of things and Macklemore is a passionate and unique MC. If you haven't checked them out yet highlights include the Red Hot Chili Peppers sampling "Otherside" and the party tune "Irish Celebration." Look for more in the near future from this team and check out their upcoming tour schedule here.

Kanye West and Jay Z-H.A.M.

The first single off the Kanye and Jay-Z collaboration album Watch the Throne was released today on the albums' Facebook page. While the song is good the real winner is Kanye's co-producer Lex Luger. Luger has produced a few of 2010 best songs including Rick Ross' "Blowin Money Fast," Kanye's "See Me Now," and most of Waka Flocka's debut Flockaveli including beat of the year candidate "Hard in the Paint." Luger is only 19 years old but the creative freedom and exposure of working with Kanye seems to be rubbing off on him the right way. At this point the sky is the limit for Luger and the production on "H.A.M." doesn't disappoint.
